Chevy Beat Gets Best Ever Performance

Such a car will definitely get any carmaker positive results and that holds true for General Motors too. General Motors India has posted a 13% increase in sales for March 2012 thanks to the Beat. The American carmaker has sold 10,588 cars overtaking the 9,391 cars it sold in March 2011.
The Beat has garnered more than half of General Motors India's March sales at 5,638 units. The Beat's diesel variant is the hatchback's best selling variant. The other car that has been a steady performer for General Motors is the Tavera MPV. The Tavera sold about 2,075 units in March.
The launch of the Tavera Neo3 has triggered an increased interest in the MPV. The new Tavera was initially launched with just a BS III engine and a BS IV version is now available.
Lauding the Beat and Tavera for pushing GM's march sales, the carmaker's vice president P Balendran said: “Great demand for the Beat and Tavera has boosted our performance in March. The growth was primarily driven by fuel efficient Beat diesel.”
General Motors India also said it sold 1,879 units of the spark hatchback, 722 units of the Cruze sedan followed by 123 units of the Optra sedan. GM India sold 107 units of the Aveo and 44 units of the Captiva SUV.
