Auto LPG Price Hiked Again In Karnataka By Rs 6.80

Auto-LPG-Price-Hiked
Auto LPG prices have been increased in Karnataka for the second time in two months. This time the price of the fuel has been increased by Rs 6.80 taking it to Rs 55.68 per litre from Rs 48.80.

The reason behind the price hike is said to be fluctuations in the international oil markets forcing suppliers to take the decision. The prices of Auto LPG are not subsidised by the government as it is for the diesel. The price hike will come into effect from April 7, Sunday.

The price hike will largely affect autorickshaw drivers as the three-wheelers are fuelled by LPG. However, possibilities of raising auto fares again have been dismissed.

The latest revision in the price of LPG has made the fuel second costliest fuel in the country after petrol. LPG was considered as an affordable fuel for its cheap price and low running costs of LPG vehicles. Now, following this price hike, more automobile buyers could be seen being driven towards diesel vehicles. The demand for diesel vehicles are already on an all time high for the fuels cheap price.
