Audi A4 2012 Sedan Launched At Rs 27.33 Lakhs
German luxury carmaker Audi has launched the facelifted A4 2012 mid-level luxury sedan between Rs 27.33-38 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). Interestingly, the new A4 is about 60k cheaper than the outgoing model. This is the 8th generation A4 that has been launched now.
The new A4 will be available in three variants; the 1.8 litre at Rs 27.33 lakh, the 2.0 litre TDI priced at Rs 29.38 lakhs and top of the range 3.0 litre TDI at Rs 38 lakhs (all ex-showroom prices). The new A4 boasts 10% more fuel efficiency mainly due to the new steering system that disconnects from the engine in the straight-ahead position.
The 2012 A4 receives few cosmetic changes to the exterior and minor under-body tweaking. The front end of the car gets better styling with redesigned LED running lamps and a modified bonnet. The A4 2012 also gets a new diffuser, re-worked tail lights and a sporty new dual exhaust system.
The cabin gets more upmarket feel with revised trim and chrome accents. The A4's all-new electromechanical steering and drive select feature will make driving much easier at difficult conditions.
Audi is bringing the A4 2012 at a time when its German rivals like Mercedes Benz and BMW are up to launch their new generation C-Class and 6th generation 3-series respectively. The company claimed that the A4 outsold the 3 Series and C-Class in the first quarter of 2012.
