Mahindra Xylo Facelift Launch In February?

The Mahindra Xylo is set to get a facelift much sooner than expected. Reports say Mahindra is preparing to unveil the face lifted Xylo MUV as soon as February 8th. The Xylo has not received any updates since its launch and a face lift will definitely give it a push.

The Xylo is the Indian SUV specialist's most popular MUV. It shook the car market when it was launched and has received several awards including car of the year and MUV of the year from reputed journals.

The new Xylo is expected to have more stylish exterior design with headlights that are similar to the hugely successful XUV 500. The exterior design is also expected to be made bolder with new bumpers hood and grille. The interior space that has been much appreciated will be retained as it is. We do not expect any major changes in the technical specifications. Mahindra might also add a four wheel drive variant to make the car more interesting.

Another surprise from Mahindra will probably be the Mini Xylo that has been sighted several times while being tested. The Mini Xylo is a compact car and might be shorter than four metres. This car will be ideal for some one who prefers the driving experience of an SUV but does not need the huge space available in the regular Xylo.

We can only wait with fingers crossed until Mahindra makes an official announcement on the Xylo. Meanwhile the carmaker has increased the production capacity of the XUV 500 owing to increasing demand for the premium SUV.
