Audi Will Launch Seven New Models In 2012

Audi has already unveiled two new cars in the recently concluded Delhi Auto Expo. The Q3 premium SUV is expected to offer a huge competition to the BMW X1. Another model already launched by Audi is the S6 premium sedan.
Audi also intends to strengthen its position in India by opening 10 new showrooms. The locations of these showrooms have not been revealed yet. Audi currently operates from 15 showrooms in the country.
Audi has been the market leader in the premium SUV segment thanks to its Q7 and Q5 models. But it has not been able to penetrate deep in to the entry level premium sedan segment. The Q3 will add to its line up of SUVs and will offer buyers an opportunity of owning a premium SUV that can also be used extensively on city roads.
Some models that are unlikely to be seen in Audi showrooms in India are the Etron electric car and the A1 premium hatchback. But you might as well see a slight reduction in Audi's prices as the carmaker's parent company Volkswagen is planning to increase local procurement of parts.
