Volkswagen Technical Education Program For Students
Incidentally Marathwada Mithra Mandal"s Polytechnic College gets this privilege as the first institute in India. The motive behind this program is to bridge the gulf between the academic curriculum and the industrial need for training. The Volkswagen technical education program will enable students belonging to ITI course on mechanic motor vehicle and diesel engine mechanic and in diploma it will help students of mechanical and automobile engineering discipline. Volkswagen will train these students at hands-on in the making of its Jetta and Polo which are donated to the institute. This, VW and the polytechnic believe, will make a great exposure to the students about the latest and contemporary technological expertise.
The students will be recognized with the certificate for the completion of this program. In addition the faculty in the said institute will get due training from the Volkswagen Training Academy, said the MD of the company. He added that the move is to shape the students in tune with the growing auto industry in India. He further said the student community is the one who is going to involve shaping the industry in future and hence this sort of training program is mooted to serve both the student community and the industry. The ultimate beneficiary, he stressed, will be the customers who would get the vehicle of their choice and excellent after sale service.
