Volkswagen Planning A Bright Future
With the last year"s sale volume for Volkswagen hitting 32,000 units, the company has set a new mark for the next five years in India. The company has chalked out its strategy to yield an annual growth of 15 percent for the next five years, said its Group Head for India.
He cited the growth to the two volume vehicles, Volkswagen Vento and Polo and these two have been making good returns since the company"s entry into India some three years ago. As of now there are 7 models from VW in the Indian auto market and in another 6-7 years the company would be capable of accruing 20% passenger car market share in India, he added. He further said that there will be increase of dealer numbers for the company from 57 to 70 with the second dealer in New Delhi having started its business recently. In the segment there are two more products under Skoda and Audi.
