Vijay Malya's Mercedes Scratched
Dr Vijay Mallya was in a celeberatory mood after RCB defeated Pune Warriors India. His joy was shortlived after he found his Mercedes-Benz S600 was scratched on both sides at one of the safest parking areas in the stadium. Dr Mallya had parked his car right next to the players entrance area which is always patroilled by private security men.A sharp object was used to scratch the Mercedes. Former India captain and KSCA president Anil Kumble also parks his Mercedes in the same area.
Dr Mallya bought the custom built Rs2.2 Crore Mercedes-Benz S600 two years ago. The car is now back in the showroom for repairs. The Rs 1 lakh repaint cost would not bother Dr Mallya. Finding the right shade of paint is turning out to be an issue. The car has already been polished and is waiting for a fresh coat of paint. The car was painted in a water based golden yellow and a repaint would change the colour. Currently the hunt for the exact shade of paint is on.
The Mercedes S600 is an exclusive model in the S-class range and is powered by a 5.5-litre 367bhp V12 engine. Offering sumptuous luxury and refinement, the S600 is one of the most preferred models among luxury cars.
