Tata Nano Launched in Nepal

Tata Nano
The Tata Nano has reached another milestone after it was officially launched in Nepal. Tata Motors has been one of the leading car sellers in Nepal and the Nano was a much awaited car in the Himalayan nation. The Tata Nano is expected to have a starting price of 7.80 lakh Nepal Rupees or five lakh Indian rupees.

The Tata Nano is considerably expensive in Nepal due to the high import duties on imported cars. Tata Motors said all the three variants of the Nano will be available in Nepal. Bookings are expected to open today and will close after ten days.

Sipradi Trading Pvt is Tata Motors' official importer in Nepal and it will market the Nano hatchback. Tata Motors wants to ensure the Nepalese public understand the Nano's robustness and practicality by putting two Nanos on a 40,000 kilometre journey within Nepal. The Tata Nano will be displayed at 15 locations during the road trip.

The Tata Nano which was described as a people's car when it was launched is living up to its name. Tata Motors recently began exporting the Nano to Sri Lanka. Nepal will be the third country to get the Nano after India and Sri Lanka. Although the Nano has not been able to reach initial expectations, it's sales are increasing significantly over the past few months.
