Tata Nano Gets Exclusive Showrooms

Tata Motors in a bid to bolster the Nano's sales has decided to establish 300 new showrooms exclusively for the Nano. The Exclusive Tata Nano showrooms will be opened by the end of 2011-12. Tata Motors will open these showrooms mostly in semi urban areas where the Nano has not penetrated as much.
A Tata Motors spokesperson said: “We feel that we need to be present at more places. We will add 300 new outlets this year in rural areas and smaller towns. At present, the Nano is sold through our 600 passenger vehicle outlets, while we have 200 more experience points."" Tat Motors has also decided to sell its passenger cars in its commercial vehicle showrooms. Both these plans will definitely create more opportunities for the Tata Nano.
Tata Motors is also exporting the Nano to the neighbouring countries of Sri Lanka and Nepal. Both the countries have reported positive sales. The Indian carmaker is also looking at more export opportunities for the Nano. It had unveiled an European version of the Nano during the previous Geneva Auto Show.
The increased fuel prices has also affected the sales of India's cheapest car. The Tata Motors spokesperson while explaining the reduced sales said: “We expect the sales to get normalised soon. Sales have fallen in the past two months as monsoon months generally see a dip. There has also been some resistance because of increasing fuel prices and interest rates, which has affected all of the industry.""
Tata Motors needs an urgent boost in Tata Nano sales asit will be touching full production levels at its plant in Sanand, Gujarat.
