Tata Motors January Sales Up By 16%

There has been a marginal rise in the sale volume for Tata Motors globally in January with 98998 units. The feat was possible due to the rise in demand for the vehicles of passenger and commercial sectors. This sales indicated a rise of 16% from the one achieved in the corresponding period of 2010.

Among the sale volume Jaguar Land Rover secured 20377 units with the rise of 25% than the previous year"s sale. Even within this, the luxury Jaguar products saw a rise of 3% with 3056 units while Land Rover got the rise of 305 with 17321 units. For the passenger car sales, the volume hit the mark of 53183 units in January by achieving a rise of 17% against the one of the previous year.

Tata motors"s products for the global markets comprised Tata Daewoo and Tata Hispano Carrocera, for which Tata motors accounted for 45815 units in January 2011 making a rise of 14% from the previous year. For the period April- January, there has been a rise of 17% with 868583 units against the corresponding period of 2010. There has been a rise of 28% in net passenger car sales with 459822 units while the commercial vehicle segment got rise of 27% with 408761 units in the first nine months of this FY.
