Tata Motors Sales Increase
Tata Motors said its sale volume for the month of January 2011 was up by 15% with 75423 units against 65478 units of the corresponding month of 2010. The volume in the domestic market was 30212 units which was an increase by 15% compared to the one witnessed in the same month of the last year. The world cheapest car Nano found 6703 owners in this month making a rise by 68% while the sale of Indica stood at 10591 units making fall by 8% in the same month.
The genre of Indigo got 8456 purchasers getting a rise by17% from the one in the same month of2010. There has been a rise in the sale of Sumo, Aria, Safari and Venture with 26% and sale volume of 4462 units. Tata posted an increased sale volume in its domestic passenger vehicles, with 12% (40263units) against 35957 units. The figures for the LCVs stood at 23,776 units which again made a rise by 17% while that of medium and heavy commercial vehicles was 16487 units making a rise by 5%. The export market too increased with 4948 units (rise by 51%) against 3276 units achieved in the same month of 2010.
