Tata Motors Exporting Nano To Overseas Markets

Tata Nano, the small car that pole-vaulted Tata Motors" name into global arena with its frugal engineering will be available on other shores as well. In April, Tata Motors has started sending its small car Nano to overseas markets, with shipment of 498 units and a formal announcement of starting exports is expected shortly.

Numbers from Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) states that Tata Motors exported 498 units last month as compared to just a single unit in the corresponding month last year. The company declined to share details such as which are the countries Nanos have been dispatched in last month.

A Tata Motors spokesperson said that they will make an announcement regarding exports of Nano very shortly. The company needs to send out the cars for various reasons. And if the company want to market and sell a car tomorrow, then it cannot be started immediately tomorrow.

Despite considering land building facilities availability, Tata Motors is expecting at supply chain availability and at the accessibilities of markets. Also, it was said that the company was exploring possibilities in different neighbouring nations such as Nepal.
