Tata Motors Invests In The Midlands

The rightful owner of Jaguar Land Rover, Tata Motors is investing 50 million Pound for the enactment of R&D in the Midlands for the next two years. Tata Motors believes that 50 Million Pound investment in the Midland would enable the manufacturing venture in the UK. Recent venture from Tata Motors is the development of its Pixel city car which is slated for the formal launch in Europe markets.

In a bid to fuel the expertise in its manufacturing, the company is to press some 100 new engineers at its European Technical Centre. The Tata Motors investment in the Midland will add to the current strength making the net to 340 employees to concentrate on low-carbon technologies. This Centre, having its base in the University of Warwick has been responsible for developing Tata"s Vista electric version and the Pixel city car. This centre has the assistance from WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group) and the overall investment of Tata in this WMG since 2005 is 85million pounds.

The Head for the advanced and product engineering of Tata Motors said the news about Tat investment in Midland reveals the company"s commitment for value based R&D activities in the lands of the UK.
