Tata Motors EV2 Launched!

Tata Motors is full of vigor with its recent launch of Indica eV2 in both petrol and diesel version which are to be sold at the price of Rs2.95 lakh and Rs3.95 lakh respectively. The diesel version will run 25km at one lit fuel as certified by Automotive Research Association of India to be ranked as the most fuel efficient vehicle in India.

Tata Motors has filled this eV2 with a CR4 common rail diesel engine which has a displacement capacity of 1396cc at 70PS of 4000rpm. The torque is 140Nm at a lower 1800-3000 rpm. This new engine, according to the company, has the potential to enhance the power by 32%, torque by 65% and fuel efficiency by 46%. The petrol version, MPFI, is designed to run on multi-point fuel injection engine and incidentally both these engines meet the BSIV norms. Other features of this eV2 are clutch-to-start for saving the engine from crank in the event of gears not fully geared.

Another feature is Auto-Drive Assist for securing the engine from stalling even at the removal of foot from the clutch. The exact price range of these vehicles is - Rs3.95 lakh - Rs4.77 lakh for diesel version and Rs2.95 lakh - Rs3.58 lakh for petrol version all in Delhi ex-showroom price. Tata has modeled this car in four colors to choose from - Arctic Silver, Neo Orange, Mint White and Apple Green. The customers are offered a 75000km. 24 months warranty.
