Ratan Tata Interested In Building Cars In China

Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata has said his company would start building cars in China. Mr Tata has expressed his interest towards China in the carmaker's annual report. China has already emerged as the world's largest car market.

While most foreign carmakers are making a beeline to enter the Indian car market, Tata Motors is showing interest in China. The Tata Motors owned British brands Jaguar and Land Rover already enjoy a good presence in the China. Tata, India's largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles wants to have foot print in the Chinese market.

Tata Motors is planning to assemble some models in China soon. With demand for Jaguar and Land Rover models increasing consistently, Tata Motors could initially start assembling them in China and then begin production of its own branded cars.
