Skoda India's June Sales Rise 69%

Skoda India's sales continued to impress. The Czech based carmaker reported an increase of 69 per cent in its June sales after selling 2,611 vehicles. The carmaker had reported an even more impressive 100 per cent hike in sales during the month of May. The Volkswagen Group Subsidiary has been performing well consistently and its Laura and Superb are considered to be segment leaders.

Thomas Kuehl, who oversees Skoda India's sales and marketing said: “We are extremely content with the customer response to our products. The 69 per cent growth this month acknowledges our efforts to offer consumers a value offering and great products. We have being growing consistently from the start of 2011 and will do so for the rest of the year. We will continue to focus on customer experience, dealership network and improved after-sales experience."

Skoda India has aggressive plans for expanding in the Indian auto industry. It considers India as a major growth engine and is keen to expand its operations here. The future of car industry is highly reliant on the Indian car industry and the country has millions of people who do not own a car. With such a great potential for sales, Skoda India intends to launch a new sedan that will attract the masses.

Skoda India which currently has a dealer network of 81 outlets in India is planning to increase the number of sales and service outlets to increase customer reach. The Skoda Fabia has been the carmaker's highest selling car in India.
