By By: Vicky.in

The ensuing Auto Show in Shanghai is to witness an array of new models on luxury sedans, SUVs, and concepts cars from the leading car makers. This comes despite the recent disastrous earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The Shanghai Auto Show is the mammoth gathering of the auto products from various companies and to show case the rising auto growth in China. Since 2009, China has been on the better platform than the US in the auto industry, to be the biggest auto market. There are ramping efforts from the global players like GM, Toyota and BMW to establish a dearth for the auto perfection in the Chinese market. Other manufacturers too have their say to reveal their might against such big shots.

This Auto Show in Shanghai will see the arrival of BMW luxury coupe, Chevy Malibu and other range of cars to woo the visitors to best. There will be SXC from Peugeot to display at the Shanghai studio, focusing the future concept car features like gasoline fuel to drive the front wheels and the electric motor to power the rear. The car has the narrow headlights and rear-hinged doors making a new concept oriented features. The Shanghai Auto Show mega event is slated for 19th April and there are huge expectations from both the visitors and the exhibitors. The GM"s International Operations official claimed that the growth has been slowly pricking up and the productions will see the full capacity soon. This is the moment of revival from the quake-hit Japan where in the large volume of components are to be derived to finish or go ahead with the production.

The disaster has forced Toyota to suspend its production in the plants located in Europe and the North America. It is expected that the company will resume the production in its major plants, barring the three in near future. Similar is the condition in the camps of Nissan Motor Co which has temporarily withdrawn its production in Mexico and the US. Ford Motor too has decided to suspend the operations in some of its plants for the whole of April while Chrysler has cut its operation stint in its Canada and Mexico plants. The interesting feature about the China auto market is that the local production depends much on the global JVs like Volvo Cars, Chery Automobile and Geely Holding Group. It is to be seen how the auto makers are going to manage the situation in coming days.
