PSA Peugeot Citroen Plans India Re-entry

PSA Peugeot Citroen is expected to make investments to the tune of $2 billion if its request for a greenfield facility is accepted. The carmaker is looking at three Indian states where it is interested to set up its operations. The potential sites for Peugeot Citroen are Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.
Reports Say Peugeot Citroen officials have already visited three sites in these states. Next week's discussions with the Tamil Nadu government could focus on the 800 to 1,000 acres of land the company requires to set up the plant. PSA Peugeot Citroen will initially incest $1 billion and its suppliers will invest a similar amount.
The French carmaker in Europe's second largest carmaker. While Peugeot is a volume car brand building passenger cars that are inexpensive and hassle free, Citroen is slightly a niche car brand. Citroen cars are famous for their stunning designs and performance.
