Peugeot China Comes to Indian Auto Market!
Before setting up its own facility in India, Peugeot is likely to deliver the cars from China. This car is meant for the D-segment to take on Honda Accord, Skoda Superb and will give way for the re-entry to Peugeot from its exit after the failure of tieup with Premier Auto in India almost two decades ago. 508 sedan is sure to satisfy the persons who occupy it with lot of comfort and ease.
The company is on the verge of bringing this car from China as CBU in petrol and diesel versions. In the global market Peugeot markets this 508 sedan in ranges but the one for India will come with 1.6 lit turbo petrol capable of 156bhp and a 2.0 lit CRDi diesel producing 140bhp. These engines will deliver 6-speed manual transmission and will have automatic gearbox.
The price is yet to be debated as it is to take on the Skoda Superb and Honda Accord. The company can secure a good slice in the segment if it offers this sedan at a reasonable price tag.
