Nissan Unveils New Sunny Sedan In India

Nissan Motor India today officially unveiled its new Sunny sedan at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai. This mid-sized sedan is expected to hit the market in four months time after production begins in Nissan's plant in Chennai. Nissan has not revealed the pricing details of the sedan

The Nissan Sunny will be available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and will be built on the same platform being used to build the Micra small car. Nissan has spent lot of time on fine tuning the Sunny sedan to suit the tastes of the Indian car buyer. The Sunny is an iconic model from the Japanese carmaker and the latest model is already being sold in over 170 countries.".

It reiterates that we are as per schedule on our Indian plans including future product launches. Nissan SUNNY highlights the versatility of the global V- platform that allows us to benchmark ourselves with novel design features for the mid-size segment. The vehicle will offer more value to the discerning customer and carve out a niche amidst competition in the fast growing Indian automobile market."

Hover Automotive India, which is handling the marketing of Nissan's operations in India has announced plans to open 100 new dealerships by the end of 2012.
