Nissan 2012 Sunny sedan To Be Versa, Diverted To The US
The designs of the car reveal that Nissan has crafted this sedan on the lines of its Micra, in terms of interiors. The analysts believe that the car will definitely meet the face value for the money. The company claims that the 1.6 lit petrol engine CVT Versa car will be capable of running 30MPG / 12.75 km per lit on city roads. It is to be seen whether the Indian market can compromise on the mileage factor suitable for the US roads.
The reason is that the customers would prefer the cheaper mode, as diesel version, to pay off the fuel cost. Hence it is expected that Nissan may have the second thought for this sedan for its pricing. Analysts still feel that the car may cost higher than Etios or Dzire or Manza or even the offshoot in the offing from Hyundai, 2011 Hyundai Verna RB. Already Fiesta from Ford has seen the launch and has entered with a big bang in the Indian roads.
On the American context of pricing, 2012 Hyundai Accent is priced 705 while this Nissan Sunny - Versa- is to cost 990. This makes the analysts to conclude that Nissan may end up with positioning this Sunny sedan in C-segment instead of entry level. In China, this Nissan Sunny sedan is however, in the lower level along with Micra hatchback. In all probabilities, it is learnt that Nissan Sunny Sedan may get place in the suitable section, unlike as the Nissan Versa for the US.
