Nissan Leaf For Rent ?

Nissan Leaf
Hertz and Zipcar, Enterprise has announced that it will start daily and weekly rentals on Chevrolet Volt at one of its Southern California locations later this month. The location is also said to have a charging station on board. The enterprise, in reference to the availability of cars said, that it will also expand the availability of some more electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids to cater to more than 5000 of its customers.

According to the enterprise, the very reason for introducing electric vehicles like Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf on rentals is to give an opportunity to customers to get better clarity with the new technology before they decide on buying it.

The company has reportedly ordered for 500 Nissan Leafs and charging stations have been installed at the respective Enterprise offices in Los Angeles, San Diego and Santa Monica, California. The first Nissan Leaf will be on rental in Carson, California. Nissan Leaf is the first mass-produced electric car for sale from the enterprise. The mid-sized five-door hatchback Nissan Leaf was introduced in Japan and U.S in December 2010.
