New Nissan Sedan On Its Way

Nissan is expected to launch a new sedan in the Indian market tomorrow. The Japanese carmaker had been hinting it would be launching the Sunny, the sedan version of the Micra small car. The Nissan Sunny sedan is already being sold in various countries. There are reports that the new sedan might as well get a new Name just for the Indian car market.

Nissan's new sedan will be the latest model to join the list of A3 segment sedans such as the Volkswagen Vento, Mahindra Verito, Maruti Suzuki SX4, Hyundai Verna, Fiat Linea and the Honda City.

The Nissan Sedan is expected to be priced about Rs.7.25 lakhs. This new car will be the first mid level car from Nissan in India. Nissan is currently selling the Micra small car and Teana luxury sedan. The new model will occupy the space between these two models.

Nissan will be building its new sedan at its plant in Chennai. Nissan is following market sentiments keenly and is launching both the petrol and diesel variants of the new sedan on the same day. The petrol and diesel engines are expected to deliver 110bhp and 85bhp respectively.
