MINI Cooper SD Range To Launch In Geneva

MINI cooper is all ready for the 2011 Geneva Motor Show with its new range of sporty diesel models dubbed SD. The new SD range variants, according to Mini Cooper that is, Cooper Convertible, Clubman and Countryman will be equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine which can produce 143 hp and 225 lb.-ft. of torque with a top up speed of about 130 mph.

According to MINI, the main characteristic of the new diesel model is its power which remains unaltered even with the heavy load. The new diesel cars also come with a standard six-speed manual and with improved fuel efficiency. The new car engine is quite similar to the old MINI Cooper one D and MINI cooper D with respect to its basic construction.

Other new features include Brake Energy Regeneration, Electric Powered Steering, the Auto Start/Stop function, Shift Point Display to name a few. While the launch of the new MINI Cooper SD range in US is still yet to know.
