Mercedes Benz To Get Dearer In May

Major passenger car manufacturers have revised the prices twice this year due to the increasing input costs and it has forced the luxury car makers like Mercedes Benz as well.

Mercedes Benz India has specified that prices of all its models will be revised upwards effective 1st May 2011.
Peter Honegg, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes Benz India said that the increasing input costs and challenging exchange rates as well as inflationary impacts are areas that have a bearing on the cost of the final product.

He added that they have absorbed these to a significant level however moving forward the company will have to pass on some portion of this impact to the customer. For the Indian market, the prices of all Mercedes Benz models will be revised upwards effective 1st May 2011.
