Spiders Haunt Mazda6 Sedans

Japanese automaker Mazda has apparently announced its recall of 65,000 cars in North and Central America due to spider webs clogging the fuel system. The evaporative canister vent line of certain 2009 and 2010 Mazda6 sedans has become a safe home for a yellow sac species of spiders.

Accordingly, if the yellow sac spider web clogs the vent line it could increase pressure in the fuel tank, leading to possible cracks in the tank and a risk of fire. The customers who own the 2009-2010 models, however, should get their cars checked from Mazda6 dealers.

Even the Mazda Spokesperson Jeremy Barnes said that even there weren't very clear about why the yellow sac spiders, of all, chose to build nests in the Mazda6 cars. He also said that as of now there haven't been any accidents reported in Mazda6 due to clogging of webs.
