Mazda
Mazda, the Japanese carmaker has will recall more than 400,000 Mazda3 and MazdaSpeed3 cars globally according to reports from the USA. Drivers have said their cars had defective defective wind shield wiper motors that did not work occasionally. Mazda conducted an investigation and has revealed that there might be a defective part in the motor of the wind shield wiper. The carmaker has offered to replace the part free of cost.

Mazda will be recalling 103,300 vehicle in the USA. The carmaker received complaints about the defective wind shield in 2009 and it decided to initiate a global recall after the number of complaints increased. As part of the global recall, Mazda will be notifying affected owners and will reimburse customers who have already got the repairs done.

Mazda in a statement has said it had voluntarily announced the recall and added that there had been no instances of harm caused by the defective motor. Mazda's global recall is not expected to make a dent in its image when compared to the drubbing that another Japanese carmaker Toyota Motors suffered after its global recall of more than 10 million vehicles.
