Maruti Suzuki To Hire 2300 Personnel In Two Years

The Indian car market is highly promising for all companies, domestic and overseas and this has envisaged a need to increase the supply, necessitating the increased capacity. The Indian giant Maruti Suzuki is on the verge of recruiting 2300 personnel for employing in its ensuing two plants in Manesar in another two years.

This will make the toll of Maruti personnel to 11000 with the rise by 27%. The company"s Managing Executive Officer said the first phase of hiring personnels in Maruti will involve 1500 to be placed for various activities like manufacturing, marketing, supply chain and R&D. Already the company has invested Rs3625 crore for these two plants to yield 2.5 lakh annual units from each facility in Manesar.

The second unit of this facility will come off in September-October 2011 to be ready for operation in the FY 2012-13. In expansion spree, the Maruti will get 750 personnel in the employment for its third plant in the next FY once the proposal is drafted and finalized, he added. There will be an exclusive Rs2500 crore investment for the K-series engine plant for erecting a dedicated R&D facility in Rohtak, he said further. The new Maruti plants in Manesar will see the hiring of 746 young technicians, 150diploma engineer trainees and 96 laterals for the second unit, he said. The remaining Maruti personnel will be absorbed for the various segments of the company"s activities, he added.
