Maruti Suzuki Kizashi To Roll Out In 15 Days

Maruti Suzuki is on full swing of selling its premium sedan Kizashi very soon as already there have been 500 bookings, said the company"s Chief General Manager for Marketing. The move to roll out Kizashi was a result of boom in the luxury car market in India and coincidentally Maruti launched this car last month. The car is to be pitted against Toyota Camry, Volkswagen AG Jetta, Honda Accord. To deliver the car for the bookings, Maruti is planning to import these units from its apex company in another 3- 4 months.

Suzuki will take care of manufacturing this car in its Sagara plant. However, the car belongs to A4 and A5 segment which have seen a fall by 3% in this year and Maruti has no big sale no boost out of this car. The price is fixed at Rs16.5lakhs but he said that Maruti Suzuki is pinning on the hope of capitalizing on the market growth. He said there could be a rise of 26% in this fiscal which was 28% in the last fiscal. He attributed this growth rate to the sale amidst the rise in input costs, fluctuation in fuel cost and the rise in interest rates.
