Maruti Suzuki Employees To Continue Work In Japan

The recent outbreak of earthquake and tsunami has turned the world into despair and the companies having the business deals in Japan have decided to take back them to their places. But the Indian car maker, Maruti Suzuki said its 150 employees who had been in Japan are to be retained there assisting the parent company Suzuki Motor corp. still they have been offered the option to return or stay back.

A report from the Wall Street Journal said the managing executive officer of human resources was quoted to have said everything has been on fine norm and the majority of the projects are undisturbed. He added that the conditions have been improving with the presence of three or more senior engineers from Maruti Suzuki Ltd. After the occurrence of natural disaster, Maruti Suzuki had sent a team of officials for evaluating the situation.

Suzuki has come forward to run the units temporarily so as to supply the parts and components properly. Prior to that the assembly lines would start functioning, said the company. Maruti Suzuki India has to its fold some 8000 persons as employees and the forthcoming financial year the number could rise with another 1500 persons. The new employees will be adopted to he new factory in Manesar who will take care of market expansion, sales and R&D.
