It Is A Call For Another Recall From Maruti Suzuki

The recall session has again started and this time it is with the Indian top notch car maker Maruti Suzuki. It said the recall is for its Swift Dzire (4505 units), Ritz (1811 units), and Swift (6841units) to inspect the Connecting Rod Bolt. The recall will be applicable for cars with engines dated November 13 and December 4, 2010. Maruti Suzuki said if any defect is detected with this Connecting Rod Bolt, then there will be complete replacement of the component at free of cost. These cars have the distinction of premium share in the market and constitute 25% in the sale volume during November-December 2010.

Maruti Suzuki has instructed the dealers to inform the customers and the components have already been dispatched to the dealers. The customers coming under this scrutiny can access the website www.marutisuzuki.com to verify their status. They have to quote their car"s engine number D13A followed by 7 digits or contact the nearest Maruti Suzuki dealer. This follows the company"s recall in last year with A-Star numbering 1 lakh, for rectifying the fuel pump gaskets and O rings. However, the sale in March 2011 has been on the rise, with 28.2% making the volume to 121952 units. The stock price of Maruti stood at Rs1294.65 (
