Maruti's Third Plant Soon In Rohtak
The circumstances in the camps of Maruti force it to think of erecting the third plant sooner. There has been a rise in the utilization level and a great demand for its vehicles resulting with the Rohtak facility as the third plant with 6 lakh units annually. The facility will be erected in a space of 600 acres double that of Maruti's Gurgaon plant and the net annual volume by means of all the facilities would come to 20 lakh annual units.
Maruti is spending Rs1000 crore f or erecting this Rohtak facility. The existing facilities in Maruti's Gurgaon and Manesar have the combined volume of 12 lakh units and there will be 6 lakh units from Rohtak facility, where the Maruti"s R&D wing is on. A concrete picture about the third facility would evolve in a year by which time the Manesar facility would also be expanded at an investment of Rs2000 crore.
