Maruti 800, A Flying Car ?

If you thought the 2011 Aero Show was all about airplanes and jet aircrafts then you will surprised to know that a flying Maruti 800 car is the one which is attracting more crowd than ever.

The Maruti 800 car numbered as KA 09 N 2920 is on display with the other aircraft contenders of the world at the Aero show from February 9th to 13th. A Bangalore based developer has come up with the flying Maruti.

A Defense official however, has confirmed that the developer has no connection with the Maruti Udyog Limited. The flying Maruti 800 car reportedly runs on petrol with very minimal modifications on the exteriors of the car.

Meanwhile, a US company has already come up with a flying car called Transition Roadable Aircraft. The new car has automated electro-mechanical foldable wings, a powerful 100 horse power engine and and a maximum speed of 185 km per hour. As a safety feature, the car also has a parachute.
