Mahindra Navistar
Mahindra Navistar - a joint venture between Mahindra and Mahindra and Navistar of the US and Mahindra's commercial vehicle division is planning to export right-hand drive (RHD) commercial vehicles manufactured in India to overseas markets such as South Africa and SAARC countries.

Mahindra Navistar Managing Director Nalin Mehta said that they are looking at the RHD markets of South Africa and SAARC countries for exports. However, the company wants to consolidate its presence in the domestic market first.

He added that the company is trying to establish its presence across various geographies in the country in the first year of the Mahindra Navistar launch. Mahindra and Mahindra aims to sell 50,000 heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs) and 20,000 light commercial vehicles (LCVs) in the next three to four years. The LCV segment was growing at 15 per cent whereas the HCV segment was growing in the country at a rate of 40 per cent.
