Mahindra Genio Truck At Rs 4.99 Lakhs
The features of transmission and engine of Mahindra Genio truck has the appeal of a normal car with similar comfort and space. He further explained that so far Mahindra has invested Rs200-225 crore for the designing and manufacturing Mahindra Genio with expansion plans are being on the cards in another six months. With the net market potential of 85,000 vehicles in this segment, Mahindra has got 75% share and he said the Genio will be the next level of truck. He said the segment has been on under-performance stage with no dearth for new products for the last two years.
The Mahindra Genio truck segment saw the growth in just single digits in 2010 but hopes are there to realize two fold growth this year, said the company"s Chief Executive for the same division. Mahindra said Genio can be chosen from the four options of diamond white, marvel granite, silver shine(metallic) and skyline blue. Mahindra intends to market this Genio truck through its 70 dealers across the country from next month. M&M has introduced the BS 4 version of commercial vehicle at Rs15000 more price than the BS3 version.
