Mahindra Genio To Be Exported
"We are very keen on exporting this.. when we conceptualised this product, we were also looking at in exporting also...we are confident that it will drive the growth in the pickup segment...," says Senior Vice-President Sales and Customer Care Arun Malhotra said at the launch of Mahindra Genio in Tamil Nadu.
The plan of exporting Mahindra Genio is because of the fact that the car is of international standards and hthere are several reasons for this car to do well in the international market. Mahindra at present is exporting some other cars. Mahindra is exporting Bolero range to SAARC countries and to some selected South African market.
Arun Malthora further revealed that the production of the car have started in the Chakan plant 10 days ago and now is the right time to decide on Mahindra Genio export. The company hopes Mahindra Genio export to work better because it's other exported cars are giving them good returns. The per month sale of Scorpio is about 1,700 units and thus Mahindra already has a hold on overseas market.
"Most of the customers prefer to drive these kind of vehicles on their own and they expect some kind of comfort while driving.. that is why we have introduced car like styling and comfort in Genio." said Arun Maltohra.
The Chakan plant would produce 2000 units of Genio. BS3 variatnt of Genio will be available at rs 5.05 and BSIV will cost Rs 8000 more in Tamil Nadu. The 70 dealership of the comany will increase to 240 dealership gradually.
