Jaguar XKR-S To Be Launched In India

An all new super car is set to be launched in India. Jaguar, the sports car brand owned by Tata Motors has revealed that it would soon launch two versions of the Jaguar XKR-S in India. This is definitely a good news for fast car enthusiasts. The Jaguar XKR-S is currently available only in coupe form. Jaguar has said it will be followed by a sedan and a convertible version.

The Jaguar XKR is by its own means a very fast car posing credible competition to the Porsche 911. The XKR-S is the sports version that offers a more powerful engine along with brisker acceleration. It is powered by a 5-litre supercharged engine that churns out a whopping 550bhp and 502lb ft of torque. Such power will help push the XKR-S to 100km/h from0 in just 4.2 seconds and to a top speed 300km/h. Supercar performance indeed.

There will be no major technological differences between the current and the the upcoming variants of the Jaguar XKR-S. The fact that the body of the car is built using aluminium has helped the carmaker make several cosmetic changes without an increase in production costs. The sedan version and convertible will get new aerodynamic roof designs along with new doors.

The Jaguar XKR-S is expected to be priced around Rs.80 lakh. The official price is yet to be revealed.The price of the car can be reduced if Tata Motors decides to produce it in India.
