Santro Takes Hyundai Motors To Great Heights

The Korean based Hyundai Motors is still the second largest in the Indian car segment and its export volume of Santro has touched the five lakh mark. The company"s MD and CEO said the feat could be attributed to the design, safety and technology of the car. This mark has seen a journey of export from 1999 when 20 units were dispatched in the first consignment to Nepal which reached the one lakh mark by 2004.

Hyundai exports Santro made in India and is in business in more than 80 nations across the world. He added that the new mark will envisage Hyundai to go ahead with its commitment for excellent product ranges to the customers. Within these years of its presence in the Indian market, he said, Hyundai has been able to meet new challenges and achieve remarkable growth both in the domestic and the export markets. He said the company enjoyed 57 percent export volume from the passenger car segment in India. Hyundai"s export models include Accent, i10 and i20 other than Santro.
