Hyundai Motors Overjoyed With It's Sales!

Hyundai Motor has observed a sharp increase in first-quarter net profit with brisk sales in overseas markets including China and the United States. Adding, the net profit for Korea"s largest automaker was 1.87 trillion won ($1.7 billion), up 47 percent compared to previous year.

The operating profit increased 45 percent to 1.83 trillion won whereas revenue grew 21 percent to 18.23 trillion won in January-March. And the company sold 919,000 vehicles at home and abroad in the first quarter, up 9.2 percent compared to a year earlier with booming demand in China, where sales increased 29 percent.

Moreover, the sales in the United States jumped by 28 percent on solid performance of the new Avante model. For the last couple of years, Hyundai and its group company Kia Motors are having a good run at the market.
