Honda Siel Observes A Drastic 43% Turn Down In April Sales
It is said that the sales in the month of April includes 1,542 units of its flagship sedan City, 112 units of hatchback Jazz, 253 units of premium sedan Civic, 83 units of luxury sedan Accord and 22 units of its sports utility vehicle CR-V.
Honda said that the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in the month of March has affected the part supply and the company has cut production at its Greater Noida plant to 50 per cent from this month.
Honda Siel Senior Vice-President (Sales & Marketing) Jnaneswar Sen said that the production adjustments for a smooth transition started from mid-April. And to make sure continuity of supplies to our customers in the forthcoming months, Honda has moderated our wholesale dispatches.
He added that Honda is confident that supplies would normalize post July and it would be able to catch up on the lost volumes.
