Honda To Launch Brio Soon!
Honda has devised this car in actual design for the needs of the markets like India and the exact date of the launch is slated as March 17 but the customers can drive their cars only during August -September 2011. However there is no official word about this from the company sources and the only response that the media could get is that as of now no comment will be attributed about the launch. And another information came from the same source that Brio would born along with its sibling -Eco car -designed for Thailand market.
Honda is very keen on increasing its volumes in the Indian market and to attain the status as the fast growing car maker in the world. This comes in the wake of the dismal performance of its Jazz against Hyundai i20 and Maruti Swift, Ford Figo and VW Polo. Another reason cited for the failure of the Jazz was the whooping price tag of Rs7 lakh considered to be the most expensive in the Indian hatchback segment.
But the pricing of Brio, a 1.2 lit, will match the market it is understood from the sources. The industry analyst feels that Honda shall fix the price for its Brio at the range of Rs4-5 lakhs to yield more volumes to compete Swift and i20 extremely. Some sources of the company expect that Honda may come out with Rs5 lakh pricing for this Brio, much cheaper than the Thailand version.
