Hindustan Motors Launches Ambassador Veer Pick-up

Hindustan Motors, the maker of the Ambassador has now launched a new pick up truck called the Veer. The model is invariably based on the Ambassador and from the front one cannot make out the difference between the pick-up and car.

The Veer pick-up is a small truck powered by a diesel engine. Hindustan Motors has said the Veer pick-up will have a starting price of Rs.3.3 lakhs. Veer will also get a petrol and CNG compliant engine later. With a load capacity of 800kg, the Veer pick-up can be classified as a small commercial vehicle.

The Ambassador has always been liked for its comfort and space. The Veer's front cabin continues the ambassador's legacy. The cabin has space for three as it has a bench seat. The Veer has been built on the same platform as the Ambassador. Hence buyers can be rest assured about its build quality.

Another positive fact about the Veer pick-up is that its maintenance costs will be very low. Spare parts of the Ambassador are already available in the market and tis will keep costs down.
