Chevrolet, now, however, is planning to maintain the ancient platform but with the new high-tech powertrain for its 2012 model.

The 2012 Chevrolet Impala, according to car dealers and general motors sources, will be built with one engine and transmission option. The upcoming impala car will feature with 3.6-liter V-6 engine and with a six-speed automatic transmission. Apart from these, no other significant changes have been reported for the new model.
