Ford To Recall 2011 Ford Explorer

American automaker Ford has announced that it will be recalling certain 2011 Ford Explorer models. According to the company, the models that are being recalled were manufactured from July 15, 2010, till December 13, 2010 due to faulty seat recline mechanism. The company said the recalled vehicles were equipped with manual recliner mechanisms which were out of necessary dimensional specifications.

Speaking more on the faulty seat recline mechanism, the company said that seats in the recalled vehicles weren't good enough to provide the required strength during a crash, which could further lead to the increase in risk of injury.

Ford said it will, however, notify the ford explorer owners about the safety recall. The ford explorer owners can take the vehicle to the dealers, who will repair the seats free of charge. The recall is expected to start from February 14, 2011.
