Fiat India Offers Car Exchange Scheme

Fiat's offer is aimed at increasing the sales of its petrol models whose stocks are steadily increasing in showrooms. With petrol prices crossing the Rs.70 mark, sales of petrol cars have declined dramatically. Diesel car sales have increased over the past two months. Car makers are struggling to respond to the dynamic changes in fuel costs.
According to Fiat India, buyers of the petrol variants of the Punto and the Linea in July have to fill participation forms of the offer by 31st July. Fiat will then randomly pick lucky customers who will then be eligible to exchange their petrol Punto or Linea cars for a diesel variant of the same. They can also opt for a cash back facility where they will be provided the cash equivalent of the difference in the price between the petrol and diesel variants.
Fiat India is also offering other goodies such as Fuel vouchers for 100 lucky winners for a year, fuel vouchers for three months for all customers, free roadside assistance and savings on insurance. Fiat India's offer will be active between 1st and 31st July and winners of the diesel variants will be announced in August.
Fiat India sells both the Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea with petrol and diesel engines. The diesel variants cost higher due to the high production costs. With petrol car sales close to stagnating, Fiat India has been forced to push sales by offering such customer offers.
