Ferrari To Launch 458 Italia Spider In Frankfurt

Ferrari has five core models in its line-up. It intends to replace the ageing F430 Spider with the convertible version of the 458 Italia that will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September. Another model that will see an end in production will be the 599 GTB Fiorano. It is yet unclear which model will replace the 599 GTB Fiorano. Ferrari has also said it would be upgrading the 458 Italia by the year 2014.
The 458 Spider that will replace the F430 Spider will have a retractable hard top roof and the power train will be the same as the coupe. Ferrari has said it would begin selling the new convertible in September itself. It remains unclear if the new convertible 458 will also be sold in India. With the US being one of the highest buyers of Ferraris, it is most likely that the initial production versions are sold first in Europe and the US.
