Tata Begins Bookings Of Cheaper Aria

Tata Motors is keen to improve the fortunes of its flagship Aria crossover. Although sales have not been consistently high, the carmaker has reported that it sold 356 units of the Aria this June. Deliveries of the cheaper two-wheel-drive Aria is expected to begin in July. This two-wheel-drive version will be available in all the variants of the Aria and they will cost about Rs.1 to 1.5 lakhs cheaper.
Tata Motors marketed the Aria as a premium crossover that would compete with SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner and the Honda CRV. However it is now focusing on highlighting the 36 unique features of the Aria.
The new Tata Aria crossover might pose a considerable challenge to the established Toyota Innova. Mahindra should also take note of the changes as the cheaper Aria will also compete with its soon to be launched Global SUV. Tata Motors has clearly started the race by starting booking of the cheaper Tata Aria.
