BMW Planning On Apps To Woo Indian Markets
The information was conveyed by Ian Robertson, in charge of sales and marketing of BMW. He added that the app developer's concept will provide the customers with information on public transportation, local entertainment covering nearly 40 cities in the US and more important, the ideal parking facility. The company has earmarked another 40 locations on global expansion comprising Munich, he added.
The concept MyCityWay is a brainchild of three persons- one from Chennai, one from Chandigarh and the last one from New Delhi. One of them exclaimed that the recognition is a boost to the confidence of the creators and BMW made necessary changes of fortune in this regard. The trio"s concept was brought into light with NYCWay travel application concept which was acclaimed in the competition held in New York. The event was blessed by the presence of the Mayor of New York City last year.
This application has the features like check out thousands of information by the New York commuters. The application enabled the information about traffic updates, restaurant inspection results, local crime data and WiFi locations. The creators revealed that they will soon move to India to install this app in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai. In addition BMW will employ this app in its sub-brand BMW 1 and in another two years" time BMWi3 and BMWi8 will get this app it is known.
