BMW New 6-Series In Just 10 Days!

Finally BMW has come out with the launch of its next generation 6-Series in a couple of weeks time. The entry will mark a new sensation and style for the segment and the car will resemble its siblings like 5-Series both in design and in performance. BMW has utilized the expertise of Adrian van Hooydonk, known for Z9 Gran Turismo concept car of the last decade. This made the replica for the 6-Series and it is found that the new 6-Series will have the shark-like nose projection. Other features include technical headlamp graphics with optional LED corona lenses; full-width air duct at the lower part of the bumper; projected kidney grille. The bonnet is longer than the earlier versions with tauter surface amidst the all whole steel body. There are L-shaped lamps in the rear with LED graphics similar to the ones found in 5-Series. The car is designed with improved boot with trivial spoiler metal integration. There are reports that 6-Series is same as its predecessor in terms of length, but wider and lower than the phased out model.

The car has the increased wheelbase to provide extra space in the rear interiors. By maintaining 450 lit boot capacity BMW has devised the asymmetrical dashboard reminding the old days of BMW. The center console is angled towards the driver for comfort. This coupe will be fitted with two direct-injection combined petrol engines having the conventional 8-speed auto gearbox. 6-Series" base model is 640i which has a turbocharged 3.0lit straight six with 320bhp offering 45kgm torque with the top speed of 100kp/h in 5.7 seconds. The car is equipped to run at the maximum speed of 250kp/h with the fuel efficiency of 14.88 k/lt. The top most end will be 650i which has a turbocharged 4.4 lit V8 offering 407bhp and the torque of 61.2kg quite fitting for 0-100kp/h in just 5 seconds. The least bothering is its mileage of 11.05 km/lit. BMW is giving the optional 320bhp turbo diesel engine and the M6 will be fitted with 550bhp twin-turboV8. Also in the offing is the fabric-roofed convertible version sometime this year.
